Step 1: Define Your Scope and Budget

Step 2: Obtain the Necessary DM Permits

Step 3: Choose Your Contractor Carefully

Step 4: Finalize Design and Material Selections
Work with your contractor's design team to finalize floor plans, elevations, material schedules and a furniture plan if required. Lock in material selections early to avoid procurement delays during construction.
Step 5: Construction Phase
A professional contractor will provide you with a detailed programme showing the sequence of works. Expect the following typical sequence: demolition → structural works → MEP rough-in → wall and ceiling finishes → flooring → joinery installation → painting → fixtures and final fit-out → cleaning and snagging.
Step 6: Snagging and Handover
Before accepting handover of your renovated villa, conduct a thorough snagging inspection with your contractor. All identified items should be rectified before final payment is released.
